Licensing Overview
Ownership
Mailwoman is created, owned, and maintained by Teffen Ellis, an individual developer
publishing under the trade name Sister Software. All Mailwoman source code is
copyright Sister Software and released under the dual license described below
(AGPL-3.0-only OR LicenseRef-Commercial — see each published package's license field on
npm). There are no external copyright holders in the
codebase; third-party data sources and their licenses are cataloged on the
data licensing & provenance page.
A commercial license grants you full ownership and control over your products, and saves you from having to conform to our open-source requirements and restrictions.
When you purchase a commercial license, you'll also have direct contact with the engineers who built Mailwoman.
An open-source license is free to use, but requires you to publish your code under the AGPL-3.0 license. This means that if you use Mailwoman in your own software, you must also make your software open-source under the same license.
